Health coverage is gaining popularity in Pakistan. It’s benefits are being realized by people across all income groups. EFU Life’s “Group Family Takaful Hospital Cash Plan” provides a unique, simple and affordable hospital cash cover which pays out a fixed sum for each day that a covered person is admitted to any hospital (No limitation of panel hospitals). The daily cash benefit of a covered individual is irrespective of the actual amount of the hospital bill. This plan also provides an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) benefit that is twice that of the daily cash benefit.
Hospital Cash Cover aims to achieve the following objectives:
Main Benefit
If any covered member, as a result of Accident or Sickness is necessarily confined as an Inpatient within a Hospital, for at least 24 consecutive hours under the continuous attendance of a Physician, then the Window Takaful Operator will, upon receipt of and due investigation of the claim, arrange to pay the Daily Hospital Cash Benefit. The daily hospital cash benefit amount shall be determined case to case.
If any covered member has become eligible for the above benefit and is confined to ICU then an additional amount equal to 100% of his Daily Benefit would be paid to him. In no event shall the total amount of benefit provided for each day of hospitalization exceed twice the amount of Daily Benefit.
In case of consecutive hospitalization for more than 24 hours, the payment of Benefits (ICU Benefit and/or Main Benefit) may continue for a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days for one confinement.
In case of multiple hospitalizations there must be a gap of 30 days between the two hospitalizations
No benefit is payable in case of confinement of less than 24 consecutive hours.
Data Requirement
The basic data requirement from the participants is the list of employees showing the names, dates of birth and CNIC number. This data is required at each renewal of the policy i.e. each year.
Timely adjustments of fluctuations can be made if the turnover of employees is communicated along with names, dates of birth, CNIC numbers and date of leaving or joining.
